NAKED VALUE

A sizeable chunk of my role at dMASS involved revitalizing the company’s newsletter.

I was the Associate Director of Innovation, and this is one area where the “innovation” piece of my title really came into play.

Every week, we dove into the of-the-moment topics and news affecting sustainability, while introducing readers to startups and innovators addressing these issues.

The goal? To showcase dMASS’ proprietary sustainable innovation platform, and how it can help businesses solve their most pressing environmental challenges.

(Side note: It was mind-blowing to see the AI in action. Type in a challenge, and the dMASS AI would actually brainstorm ideas for you, based on everything it knows – in real time – and direct you to real-world, clean-tech solutions out there. It had scanned over 70% of the web [so far] for innovation data).

(Side note, continued: Our AI ran on ChatGPT… before ChatGPT made the news. It was more than a little infuriating that dMASS went out of business right before the hype began).

Having run a newsletter before, I immediately hit the ground running. We were so eager to launch that we didn’t name our publication; that’s why some of the newsletters you’ll see below do not bear a specific brand.

Later, we decided to change things up (in typical startup fashion) and settled on “Naked Value,” naming it after the book our CEO published. But the newsletter’s mission and overall vibe remained the same.
